Inspired by Nikolai Gogol’s 1836 play The Inspector General, Revisor is part risky satire, part choreographed lip-synch and all urgent warning of unchecked power. When a lowly government employee arrives in town to revise some legal documents, he is mistaken for a high-powered official and spoiled with attention.

When the people of a small corrupt town find out a secret inspector will be arriving shortly they panic, something which a lazy civil servant takes full advantage of and lets them believe that he is that inspector.

Georgi est un commerçant ambulant qui est accueilli avec beaucoup d'égards par la petite ville de Brodny qui s'imagine avoir a faire a un inspecteur, envoyé incognito pour vérifier les comptes de la commune ..... Georgi remplit parfaitement son rôle mais refuse de se laisser dévoyer...
