Joel Shapiro: An Artist at Work
This film features “Conjunction,” a large-scale bronze sculpture by American artist Joel Shapiro (b. 1941), which was commissioned by FAPE in 1998 and installed at the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, Canada the following year. The Shapiro sculpture was FAPE’s first site-specific project.
Michael Singer: An Artist at Work
This film documents the artist, Michael Singer, and his creation of the site-specific work Courtyard Garden and Sculpture, for the U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece. The piece was commissioned in 2006, and installed in Athens in 2007.
Elyn Zimmerman: An Artist at Work
This film features “Mkusanyiko wa Marafiki” (Assembly of Friends), a large-scale sculpture, by American artist Elyn Zimmerman (b. 1945), that groups six related geometric forms around a granite-rimmed pool. It was commissioned by FAPE in 2002 for the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and was installed in June 2004.
Dorothea Rockburne: An Artist at Work
